The Oncology Rn is responsible for providing and supervising professional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases.
Primary duties include assisting physicians in scheduling, ordering, and administering chemotherapy, other drugs, and treatments associated with these diseases.
Coordinates patient care with other members of the department to ensure quality and convenience of patient care.
The RN must use critical thinking abilities in the evaluation, assessment, and care of patients.
This nurse must have specialized oncology/chemotherapy knowledge and skills gained through formal education and oncology experience.
This position functions under the authority of the Clinical Manager in accordance with the nursing guidelines provided by the Director of Nursing for Marshall Medical Center South and the policies and procedures for Marshall Medical Centers.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
The RN is responsible for all nursing care activities; initial assessment of patients, generating nursing care plans, providing direct nursing care, patient education, assisting physician with procedures and interacting with Social Services as needed to provide patient resources.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current RN license as issued by the State of AlabamaCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or willingness to acquire within 30 daysCurrent Chemotherapy CertificationPreferred:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
